Remember  – Old Parrot
Dedicated to the great Dannie Abse (the old parrot) – Poet – died 28/09/2014 aged 91 years old.

Here,
In black ink
My orphic parrot
Speaks once more.

A voice
tremulous –
An echo
To his former

Feathered majesty.
He has taken
That path of
No return

Yet, passing
Among such songs
A waiting
Eurydice smiles.
